Cerrie Woodner Bamford
Cerrie Woodner Bamford will join Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture as director of development and events, shifting from her 14-year career at the Museum of Modern Art. She currently manages the museum’s membership group The Friends of Education, and has worked worked in departments including special programming and events, development, and the affiliate programs.
At Skowhegan, Bamford will aid in fundraising efforts for the school’s programming.
In a statement, Skowhegan co-directors Katie Sonnenborn and Sarah Workneh, said, “Cerrie is a passionate advocate for artists who shares our deep commitment to advancing opportunities for artists from many backgrounds. In this pivotal moment for Skowhegan, as we embark on a campus Master Plan and look ahead to the school’s 75th Anniversary in 2021, we are thrilled to have her on board.”
